Terms of use and sale
Clear terms for using Chefs Studio, joining the community and buying goods, services or digital content.
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use chefs.studio and its related shop, member areas and community services. Chefs Studio is operated in the United Kingdom. In these terms, Chefs Studio is referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”.
By using the site, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Additional terms shown for a particular product, course, membership, event or service also form part of your agreement with us. If those additional terms conflict with this page, the product-specific terms take priority for that purchase.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless you tell us promptly that it has been compromised.
You must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase or enter into a paid membership. If you use Chefs Studio on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business.
3. Shop orders, prices and payment
The shop will be powered by FluentCart. Product descriptions, prices, taxes, delivery charges and available payment methods will be shown before you confirm an order. An order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we accept the order and send confirmation, or when we make the digital content or service available.
- Prices will be shown in the stated currency and will include or identify applicable taxes as required.
- Payment is handled through the payment method selected at checkout. We do not intend to store complete payment-card details on our own server.
- We may refuse or cancel an order where a product is unavailable, a price is clearly incorrect, payment is not authorised or fraud is reasonably suspected. Any payment taken for a cancelled order will be refunded.
Nothing in these terms removes rights that UK consumer law gives you.
4. Physical goods, delivery and returns
Delivery options, costs and estimated times will be shown at checkout. Unless we agree otherwise, consumer orders will be delivered without undue delay and normally within 30 days.
If you are a UK consumer buying at a distance, you will normally have 14 days after receiving the goods to tell us that you wish to cancel, followed by 14 days to return them. You may be responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty, damaged, misdescribed or we state otherwise.
Some items may be excluded from change-of-mind cancellation where the law allows, including personalised goods, sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed, and rapidly perishable items. Faulty goods remain covered by your statutory rights.
5. Digital content, services and memberships
Digital products may include downloads, guides, videos, courses or other online resources. Before supplying digital content immediately, we may ask you to expressly consent to supply beginning during the 14-day cancellation period and acknowledge that this can end your cancellation right once supply begins.
Services and memberships will be described on the relevant sales page, including their scope, price, billing period and cancellation arrangements. Where a subscription renews automatically, the renewal terms will be shown before purchase and you can cancel future renewals through your account or by contacting us.
Digital content must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for its stated purpose. Services will be provided with reasonable care and skill. Your statutory remedies remain available if these standards are not met.
6. Community participation
The Chefs Studio community will be powered by FluentCommunity. It is intended to support useful, professional discussion. You remain responsible for anything you post, upload or share.
- Treat other members with respect and do not harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone.
- Do not post unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, confidential or infringing material.
- Do not upload malware, scrape member information, send unsolicited promotions or try to bypass access controls.
- Do not share paid or private community material outside the audience for which it was provided.
You keep ownership of your content. You give us a non-exclusive licence to host, display, format and reproduce it only as needed to operate, moderate and promote the community. You confirm that you have the rights needed to share it.
We may edit, hide or remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts or end access where reasonably necessary to protect members, enforce these terms or comply with law. Where appropriate, we will explain the decision and provide a reasonable opportunity to respond.
7. Professional information and kitchen safety
Chefs Studio provides educational information, practical resources and professional perspectives. Content is general and may not take account of your particular premises, equipment, ingredients, workforce or legal duties.
You remain responsible for food safety, allergen management, workplace safety, legal compliance and professional decisions in your kitchen. Seek appropriately qualified advice where a decision carries material safety, legal, financial or operational risk.
8. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the site design, branding, articles, downloads, videos, course materials and other Chefs Studio content belong to us or our licensors. You may use purchased or member content for your own personal or internal business use.
You may not resell, republish, distribute, reproduce at scale, train an artificial-intelligence system on, or create a competing resource from our content without written permission. Normal linking, brief quotation with attribution and uses permitted by law remain allowed.
9. Availability, changes and liability
We aim to keep the site and paid services available, but maintenance, security work and events outside our reasonable control may cause interruptions. We may improve, replace or withdraw features, provided we do not unfairly remove a material paid benefit without an appropriate remedy.
We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.
If you use Chefs Studio wholly for business purposes, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, anticipated savings or data, except where the law does not allow that exclusion. Any other limitation will be applied fairly in light of the product or service purchased.
10. Privacy, termination and governing law
Our Privacy notice explains how we use personal information. Our Cookie notice explains cookies and similar technologies. You may stop using the site at any time. Account closure does not cancel amounts already due or remove terms that need to continue, such as intellectual-property, payment and liability provisions.
These terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Kingdom. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the part of the UK where you live. For business disputes, the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction unless we agree otherwise in writing.
If one term is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it.
