Chef Studio’s commitment to opposing modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and child exploitation in its activities and supplier relationships.
1. Our position
Chef Studio does not tolerate modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking or exploitative child labour. We aim to act ethically and expect suppliers and partners to comply with applicable labour and human-rights laws.
2. Our activities and suppliers
Chef Studio publishes culinary and management content, operates digital services and sells printed and digital products. Relevant suppliers may include printers, fulfilment and delivery providers, hosting and software services, freelancers and professional advisers.
3. Risk-based approach
We take a proportionate, risk-based approach to supplier selection and review. Attention may include the location and nature of work, use of subcontracting, labour-intensive production, credible concerns, unusually low pricing and a supplier’s own policies or certifications.
4. Expectations and action
- Workers must not be subjected to forced, bonded or trafficked labour.
- Applicable rules on pay, working time, freedom of movement, child labour and safe working conditions should be followed.
- Suppliers should raise credible concerns and cooperate with reasonable enquiries.
- Chef Studio may seek clarification, request improvement, pause purchasing or end a relationship where serious concerns are not addressed.
Where an immediate termination could worsen harm to affected workers, we may consider responsible remediation alongside specialist advice.
5. Reporting a concern
If you have credible information about exploitation connected with a Chef Studio supplier or activity, contact us through the contact page. Do not place yourself or another person at risk. Contact the appropriate authority where urgent protection is needed.
6. Legal status and review
This is a voluntary statement of approach. It is not presented as a section 54 annual statement unless Chef Studio becomes legally required to publish one and completes the required approval process. We will review it as the business and supply chain develop.
