Membership, Digital Content and Refund Policy
How Chef Studio handles one-time access, subscriptions, Founding Member benefits, digital content, cancellations and refund requests.
1. Scope
The description, price, included benefits, billing basis and any eligibility conditions shown on the relevant product or offer page form part of your purchase. This policy supplements those details and the Terms and Conditions.
2. One-time purchases and subscriptions
A one-time purchase is charged once and does not renew. A subscription is charged on the schedule displayed before checkout until it is cancelled or otherwise ends. Chef Studio will not treat a one-time lifetime-access purchase as a recurring subscription.
3. What “lifetime” means
Lifetime means the lifetime of the relevant Chef Studio service—not the lifetime of the customer.
Where an offer includes “lifetime access”, access continues without a further access fee for as long as Chef Studio operates the relevant website, portal, programme or substantially equivalent replacement and continues to offer or support the included content. It is not a promise that the website, portal, programme, company or content will operate indefinitely or for the purchaser’s natural lifetime.
We may maintain, improve, rename, reorganise or replace technology and features. We will not use ordinary platform changes to remove the essential paid benefit unfairly. If the relevant service is permanently discontinued, access ends when that service ends; where reasonably practicable, we will give advance notice and explain any available download, export, replacement or other appropriate arrangement.
4. Founding Member Bundle
The Founding Member Bundle is a one-time purchase and has no recurring subscription fee. It includes the benefits described on the offer and product pages, currently including a personally signed printed book, tracked delivery charged at checkout, lifetime Premium portal access to the stated learning content, Founding Member recognition and participation in the complimentary monthly ebook programme.
5. Monthly ebook programme
Founding Members receive the ebooks made available through the monthly programme while that programme forms part of the operating Chef Studio service. The title, subject, format and publication timing may vary. Access is personal and may not be redistributed. The programme may be improved, renamed or replaced with a substantially equivalent benefit; permanent discontinuation is governed by the lifetime definition above.
6. Grandfathered printed-book purchasers
Customers whom Chef Studio identifies as having purchased the qualifying printed autobiography before the Founding Member offer may be granted Founding Member access without an additional payment. Eligibility is linked to the order record and matching account email. We may ask for reasonable evidence where the purchase cannot be matched automatically.
7. Accounts and access
Digital access is personal to the purchaser or named recipient. Keep login details secure and do not share, resell or reproduce restricted materials. We may temporarily restrict access for security, maintenance or investigation, and may suspend or end access for serious or repeated breach of the Terms or Community Guidelines. Ending access for misconduct does not create an automatic right to a refund.
8. Cancellation rights and digital supply
UK consumers normally have a 14-day cancellation period for distance contracts, subject to legal exceptions. If you ask us to begin supplying downloadable or streamed digital content during that period, we may request your express consent and acknowledgement that the cancellation right may be lost once supply begins. Your statutory remedies for faulty, misdescribed or non-conforming digital content remain unaffected.
9. Physical goods and personalised books
Change-of-mind rights and return instructions for physical goods are described in the Terms and Book Shipping Policy. A signed book is not automatically excluded from cancellation merely because it is signed. A book containing a dedication or other wording produced to your specification may be treated as personalised where the law permits. Faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods remain covered by statutory rights.
10. Refund requests
Send requests through the contact page or email [email protected], including the order email, order number, item and reason. We will assess the request under the purchase terms and applicable consumer law. Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method.
